Hinduism in Italy

There are approximately 75,000 Hindus in Italy. Unione Induista Italia (UII), (Italian Hindu Union) exists in Italy led by Swami Yogananda Giri.

ISKCON also has extensive presence in Italy.

Hindus are pressing for official recognition in Italy. UII has signed in 2007 an Intente with the Italian government. The document was then waiting for approval by the Italian Parliament.
